Black and Red Skull

Preston born author Keith Johnson had his first book 'Chilling True Tales Of Old Preston' published in September, 1990. The overwhelming success of this book, as both a local and regional best seller, led to the publishing of two further books in the Preston ' Chilling Tales' series. Like their predecessor these books were well recieved and reprints followed.

Following the success of the 'Chilling Tales' books based on Preston, Keith had a further local book published called ' People Of Old Preston' which is a collection of tales about local folk. This book's popularity proved once again the enormous interest in local history especially when linked to mystery.

May, 1995 saw the publication of 'Chilling True Tales Of Old Lancashire' after Keith had delved into the history of the county. This latest collection of headline making tales was extremely popular and a reprint was soon necessary.

Towards the end of 1997, following more extensive research, 'Chilling True Tales Of Old London' appeared in the capital's bookshops. Like its predecessors the book caught the public imagination and a reprint is now schedule for the autumn.

Married with two teenage sons, Keith lives and works in Preston, where he is employed as a Contract Engineer for a leading printing press manufacture. A long standing member of the Lancashire Authors' Association, Keith earned recognition for his writing in 1992 when he was accepted as a member of the Crimewriters' Association.
